It is by far the westernmost province to have tea, making it the closest tea province to the Satsuma, Saga, Choshu and Tosa domains. Hyuga is undoubtedly the worst province to own in Kyushu and ranks among the poorest provinces in Shogun 2, with no specialty, barren fertility, and no port. The capital of Saito is known for the Saitobaru burial mounds, a large collection of tumuli built during the Kofun and Asuka periods of Japanese history. Although it gives a relatively poor rice yield, the province does boast a variety of other agricultural produce. Hyuga is situated on the east coast of Kyushu.
